Curious about the wild world of ceramics and whiskey? Join us at Desert Door Distillery for a playful, fun afternoon of sips and making in their gorgeous distilling space! In this beginner-friendly workshop, we will quickly learn the basics of ceramic-making (clay types, glazing, firing, and best practices), and then we will start with the no-experience-needed pinch pot technique!
After getting comfortable with the clay, we will move on to making a set (4) of sotol-tasting copita cups, and then wrap up class by decorating and glazing our pieces. Throughout class, we will be sipping on specialty sotol cocktails, from their bar!
To complete your pieces, Kara will fire them (essentially baking them, so they retain their shape and become durable & food-safe) and return them to for pick-up at Desert Door, or Broad Studios, two weeks from the class date!
Cost includes: all materials, instruction, glazing, firing and whiskey tasting! Tickets available HERE!
